Pattern #1306 – Animal Hats

This paragraph will replace the one headed “unicorn horn” (correction in red, underlined, in bold below):

Unicorn horn-

Using the smaller double point needles, cast 12 sts onto 3 needles (4 sts on

each needle).

Using the 4th needle, join into a round, being careful not to twist. Work in

round for 1 inch.

Decrease round- k 2, k 2 tog, rep 3 times.

Work 1 inch even.

Decrease round- k 1, k 2 tog, k 1, k 2 tog, k 1, k 2 tog.

Work even for ½ inch.

K 2 tog on all sts.

Break yarn and gather remaining sts.

Stuff very loosely with fill, and stitch onto mid forehead of unicorn just below

ears. Wind yarn around the horn as shown, in a spiral.
