On the 2nd page, between the headings “side slits” and “sleeves”, the following paragraph replaces the old paragraph-
Side slits-
P 3, k to within 3 sts of marker, p 6, k to within 3 sts of marker,
p 3.
Next round- knit.
Next round- p 3, k to within 3 sts of marker, p 6, k to within 3 sts of marker, p 3.
Next round- k to marker, remove it, turn work and begin working back and forth on the front section as follows-
k 3, p to within 3 sts of marker, k 3, remove marker, turn work.
Next row- knit.
Next row- k 3, p to within 3 sts of marker, k 3, turn work
Continue to work the last 2 rows until work measures 24½ ins from the top of the shoulder.
Change to smaller 24 inch needle and work 5 rows in garter st. Bind off loosely, break yarn.
Using the larger 24 inch needle, join yarn to remaining sts and work back of sweater same as front, keeping 3 edge sts in garter and the rest in stockinette st. Work to same length as front, ending with 5 rows of garter. Bind off.
