I have made a pdf of the corrected back page of this pattern. Please click on the icon below to open and print it. It can then be placed in your pattern sleeve.
I try very hard to design perfect patterns for you. I have each pattern test knitted at least twice, and I have it professionally proofread and edited.
In spite of this, errors do sneak into the first printing of some patterns. I correct these as soon as possible, and I am very sorry if these cause you any ripping.
Below are the corrections.
Pattern # 201
After dividing for the sleeves, the pattern should say
"Work in Stockinet stitch until work measures 22 inches", not knit every round.
The directions for neckband have been corrected as follows-
Neckband-
With the smaller 16 inch needle with the knit side of work facing you, beginning at right back 'seam', join yarn and pick up 28 (28, 30, 30, 32) sts across back of neck; 14 (15, 15, 16, 17) sts across top of left sleeve, 30 (30, 32, 32, 34) sts down side of neck, 30 (30, 32, 32, 34) sts up other side of neck, 14 (15, 15, 16, 17) sts across top of right sleeve.
Join into a round, p 1 round, bind off as if to knit.
Pattern # 995
The cast on amount for size large should be 167, not 168.
Pattern # 256, Childrens Vest,
Calls for a 24 inch size 5 needle that you do not need. You will be using a 16 inch needle for the lower rib.
Pattern # 234 Weekend Neckdown Jacket
There are corrections to the back page of the pattern. Click below to download a pdf of the corrections.
There is an error in the divide for the sleeves section. The following PDF replaces the paragraph titled 'divide for sleeves'. There are no other corrections.
Beginning at the neck edge with the larger 24 inch needle, cast on firmly 2 sts, place a marker, cast on 14 (14, 12, 12, 10, 10) sts, place a marker, cast on 22 (24, 28, 28, 32, 32) sts, place a marker, cast on
14 (14, 12, 12, 10, 10) sts, place a marker, cast on 2 sts. There will be 54 (56, 56, 56, 56, 56) sts.
Also, there should be a wrong side row before you divide for the sleeves.
Pattern 276 Cardigan Vest for Men
Row 6 is missing from the right and left neck front shaping section. It should read-
On the back page, just before the heading 'buttonhole row", the last direction sould be "ending with a right side row", not wrong side.
Pattern # 283 Scoop Neck T Shirt
The following paragraph replaces the last paragraph on the left side of the back page.
Divide for sleeves-
K to first increase marker, remove it (remove all markers now as you come to them), k 1.
Now using a blunt darning needle and scrap yarn, slip all the sts between here and the next marker onto the length of yarn to hold for the left sleeve.
Cast onto the right tip of the needle 10 (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) sts, placing a marker after 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) sts.
Join to the back sts and k across the back sts to the next marker, k 1, slip all the sts from here to the next marker onto a length of yarn for the right sleeve.
Cast on 10 (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) sts, placing a marker after 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) sts.
Join to the front and work to end of round.
You are now working on the body sts only.
Work in stockinette stitch until work measures 10 (10, 10½, 10½, 11, 11) ins from the top of the shoulder.
Place a safety pin in the row below the one on the needle to help you measure for the following shaping.
